Lake Services has refined its skills and built its business using mechanical methods for extraction of materials from impoundments, lagoons, and tidal waterways. Mechanical methods employ track-mounted excavators fitted with special 'Long Front' booms which have a reach of over sixty feet and can bring materials to the surface in a dense, compact, high-solids form- and free of excess water. Most materials are suitable for immediate, direct transport to disposal by conventional truck.
